Project Manager Wanted: Andover MA

The successful candidate will be:
- A innovative, strategic thinker and highly motivated individual with at least 3 years of prior experience as a localization project manager (localization engineering background desirable, but not a requirement)
- A good team player with strong skills in cross team and cultural collaboration in complex situations
- Highly organized, clear decision maker, excellent project manager and passionate about being a high-impact individual contributor
Responsibilities include:
Project/Process Management
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Prepares files for localization, handoff to teams
- Post processes files after translation
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Effectively applies our localization methodology and enforces project standards
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Minimizes our exposure and risk on projects
- Ensures project plans and schedules are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Manages a good relationship with customer and team members
Project Accounting
- Prepares project estimates/quotes for clients
- Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis
- Manages project budget
- Manages POs and invoices
- Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
- Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
Skills
- Must have at least 3 years localization project management experience
- Possess a sound understanding of industry translation tools and platforms such as SDL Trados, Systran, Dejavu, Alchemy Catalyst, Globalsight, and Idiom Worldserver.
- Ability to function on all major Operating Systems for Windows. UNIX and MAC desirable but not a requirement.
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) also a requirement
- Ability to help translators troubleshoot technical issues with files or translation tools
- Ability to manage/maintain translation resources (translation memories, translation glossaries) during a project
- Localization engineering skills are desirable (ability to pre/post process translation files during a project) but not a requirement
